PolyOne Inspiring Electric Vehicle Designs with Lineup of Trendsetting Polymer Colors

MANNHEIM, Germany – 3 de abril de 2019 – PolyOne will display its colorant and additive solutions for the automotive industry at this week’s Plastics in Automotive Engineering (PIAE) Conference in Mannheim, Germany. In addition to new colors, the company will present solutions to support design and efficient manufacturing of electric vehicles (EVs).

Automotive designers recognize that early adopters of EVs are not just buying a means of transportation. These consumers also want to make a statement about environmental sustainability. As the transition to e-mobility gathers speed, automobile designers are considering colors that convey that message elegantly.

PolyOne is supporting this trend with novel colors that add a spark of originality. “Vehicle designers want to establish and distinguish their EV brands with exciting new colors that reflect consumers’ environmental priorities, and we’re responding to this trend with stylish options,” explained Gary Fielding, global director of marketing, Color & Additives at PolyOne.  

PolyOne’s new color formulations, which include chameleon-like transparent shades for polycarbonate, numerous custom hues, the Color Inspiration 2020 collection, and the recently launched Shades of Nature collection, will be featured at PIAE 2019 on stand 95.
