Drawing on over 65 years of
composite expertise in manufacturing high performance
archery bow limbs - which require consistent, deep
deflection under high loads each time the bowstring is
pulled - the Gordon Composites team has translated
this technology into continuous fiber reinforced
composite springs that are specifically engineered to
meet the rigorous demands of vibratory conveyors.
High temperature formulations made flat springs
an economical option
Gordon Composites high-temp springs are specially
formulated to withstand temperatures up to 300˚F.
With a high-heat flat spring option,
manufacturers can potentially reduce overall conveyor
system costs compared to higher priced coil spring
systems.

Spurred by the need for high strength and low
weight, Avient quickly identified a Complēt™ long
glass fiber nylon composite as a best-fit solution.
With lightweighting benefits and design freedom, this
high-end composite was shown in mold filling and
FEA analysis to maintain the reliability and strength of
metal.
THE IMPACT
At its core, the goal of re-engineering the motor yoke
was to maintain quality, durability and strength while
reducing weight and lowering costs.

ColorMatrix™ Amosorb™ 4020G
Non-nylon based PET oxygen scavenger with lower haze
and less impact on recycle stream
ColorMatrix™ Amosorb™ 4020G is a non-nylon based
next generation oxygen scavenger for PET rigid
packaging with a reduction in haze and lower impact
on the recycle stream.
Compared to different types of food & beverage
packaging, PET is often preferred because of it’s
high clarity, can be easily recycled many times
and offers brand owners freedom of design to
differentiate their product packaging to create
greater shelf appeal.
ColorMatrix Amosorb 4020G also lowers impact
on the PET recycle stream due to a reduction in
rPET yellowing.
