A collaborative team from the two companies looked at potential options before developing a material that combined two grades of Avient’s Therma-Tech™ thermal management formulations.
Reduced material usage: The Therma-Tech formulation required 37 percent less material due to its lower density compared with aluminum.

Working together, the group determined that Therma-Tech™ thermally conductive polymers had all the necessary properties to replace the aluminum heat sinks.
They eventually settled on Therma-Tech TT6600-5001EC as the best solution to provide comparable heat dissipation.
