Renol™ Fiber Colorants
Deep Black Colorants for PET Fibers
The textile market, particularly in the automotive
textiles, apparel, and home decor sectors, has
long sought after deep black colorants that offer
exceptional jetness and light fastness without
incurring exorbitant costs.
Our team of fiber
experts provides guidance to ensure that the desired
color intensity and performance are achieved in a
cost-efficient way.
APPLICATIONS
• Automotive textiles and upholstery, e.g., seat
covers, liners, carpets
• Home textiles, e.g., sofa covers, pillows, curtains
• Apparel, e.g., fashion clothing, sportswear
BENEFITS
• Deep and intense black coloration with high
light fastness
• Adapted to polyester fibers including recycled
grades
• Highly efficient formulation to increase
processability and reduce costs
• Excellent washing fastness for textile products
that are frequently washed, e.g., sportswear
• Can be customized to achieve the desired
intensity

VALUE SOLUTION
Improve safety and reduce costs with
Gravi-Tech formulations
When Gravi-Tech polymer metal composites are
substituted for lead, manufacturers can avoid
the regulatory, disposal and employee exposure
challenges associated with lead.

Cooling Line Guidelines
The rules for cooling line layouts are to keep
the depth and pitch ratios constant throughout.
Optimizing Injection Velocity
The objective of this step is to find where the
injection velocity will fill out the part completely,
and not pressure limit the machine.

Reconciliation of Non-GAAP Financial Measures (Unaudited)
(Dollars in millions, except per share data)
Below is a reconciliation of non-GAAP financial measures to the most directly comparable measures calculated and presented in accordance with U.S.
Special items include charges related to specific strategic initiatives or financial restructuring such as: consolidation of operations; debt extinguishment costs; costs incurred directly in relation to
acquisitions or divestitures; employee separation costs resulting from personnel reduction programs, plant phase-in costs, executive separation agreements; asset impairments; mark-to-market adjustments associated with actuarial gains and losses on pension and other post-retirement benefit
plans; environmental remediation costs, fines, penalties and related insurance recoveries related to facilities no longer owned or closed in prior years; gains and losses on the divestiture of operating businesses, joint ventures and equity investments; gains and losses on facility or property sales
or disposals; results of litigation, fines or penalties, where such litigation (or action relating to the fines or penalties) arose prior to the commencement of the performance period; one-time, non-recurring items; the effect of changes in accounting principles or other such laws or provisions
affecting reported results; and tax adjustments.

SUP pro paddles are typically equipped with carbon
fiber shafts, but this option was too cost-prohibitive for
the mid-level market.
And Carbonerro also needed to keep costs
down to produce a more economical solution for the
non-professional enthusiast.
An unsinkable stand up paddle with
improved stiffness and performance, and an overall cost
savings to both the consumer and the company.

HOW VERSAFLEX TPEs MAKE THE DIFFERENCE IN PORTABLE SPEAKERS APPLICATIONS
GASKETS
Water and Dust Protection
- Tight housing seals with no leakage over time
Reduced Manufacturing Costs
- Eliminates sourcing and assembly steps required of
O-rings by overmolding directly onto the substrate;
strong adhesion to PC & ABS
- Faster cycle times than silicone or TPU
Design Freedom
- Injection molding TPEs in gaskets enables
complex designs in which simple O-rings would be
challenging to assemble
SPEAKER SKINS
Durable Look and Feel
- Silky feel soft touch
- Long lasting aesthetics with abrasion and UV
resistance
Reduced Manufacturing Costs
- Eliminates sourcing and assembly steps
required of silicone skins by overmolding
directly onto the substrate; strong
adhesion to PC & ABS
- Faster cycle times than silicone or TPU
Design Freedom
- Overmolding TPE removes the need for
mechanical interlocks and primers to get
silicone materials to adhere to substrates

|A team of engineers at this firm was looking
for a way to reduce the manufacturing cost
of its line of solar-powered lights made using
painted metal.
Most
importantly, the plastic light had to have
lower manufacturing costs than the painted
metal light.
THE IMPACT
Moving from painted metal to pre-colored
Geon M5705 material reduced Smart Hero’s
manufacturing costs by over $300,000
annually, due to lower scrap rates and the
elimination of painting.
https://www.avient.com/sites/default/files/2021-04/trilliant-hc-conductive-pipette-case-study.pdf
High-quality conductive pipette
tips must meet a number of demanding performance
criteria, including:
• Accurate measurement of minute quantities
of liquid
• Hydrophobic properties to minimize fluid retention
• Concentric dimensions and warp resistance
• Excellent chemical resistance
The manufacturer asked Avient for a specialized
solution to meet these exacting needs in a timely and
efficient manner so they could capitalize on its market
opportunity
THE SOLUTION
Avient’s sales and technical professionals worked
closely with the manufacturer to understand the
demanding requirements of the end-use application,
manufacturing considerations and cost.
Increased Production: Additionally, the high flow
properties of the Trilliant HC formulation allowed
for an increase in the number of cavities in the
mold, resulting in a machine cost-per-part savings
of over 30%
Total Manufacturing Cost Savings: Despite an
increase I price per pound over the competition,
the manufacturer’s total cash costs were reduced
by over $45,000 on an annualized basis as a result
of the proven, quantified savings in cycle time,
productivity and scrap.

https://www.avient.com/sites/default/files/2025-05/Advanced Composites Utility Poles Product Overview.pdf
Lower Total System and Lifecycle Cost
GridCore Composite Poles have an expected
service life of up to 80 years, compared to 30-40
years for wood poles.
Considering the cost of
replacing aged, damaged, and failed poles, the
longer lifespan of an FRP pole results in total cost
savings over the life of the pole.
Lower Maintenance and Resistant to Pests
Also contributing to lower lifecycle cost,
composite poles require only visual inspection and
will not sustain damage from woodpeckers and
insects, reducing maintenance and repair costs.

ADVANCED COMPOSITES
An exceptional alternative to traditional materials such
as wood, ceramic and metal, advanced composite
solutions enable designers to:
• Design lighter weight structural components for
increased lifetime performance and improved
fuel efficiency—higher strength-to-weight ratios
to exceed the structural performance of traditional
materials while significantly reducing weight—up
to 75% lighter than steel and up to 25% lighter
than aluminum
• Extend product lifetime to reduce part
replacement and decrease warranty expenses—
the corrosion, weather, flame and fatigue
resistance of composite solutions improve
component durability
• Reduce product lifecycle costs—the extended
product lifetime, along with the potential for
reduced installation time and cost due to the lighter
weight of composite solutions, significantly reduces
the associated cost over the lifetime of a part
• Lower energy costs—by leveraging a higher
strength-to-weight ratio, composite solutions
allow designers to engineer products that require
less energy or power during installation and use
• Increase competitive advantage—Avient
advanced composite solutions can be customized
to provide electrical insulation, thermal insulation,
radiopacity, low thermal expansion, flexural
memory and load damping, while delivering
desired performance and aesthetic specifications
