On September 1, 2022 we acquired the Protective
Materials business of DSM, the foundation of which
is the renowned technology and globally admired
brand of Dyneema®, the World’s Strongest Fiber™.
This ultra-lightweight specialty material is 15 times
stronger than steel and is used in demanding
applications, such as ballistic personal protection,
marine and sustainable infrastructure, renewable
energy, industrial protection and outdoor sports.

Matter
As discussed in Note 2 to the consolidated financial statements, on September 1, 2022,
the Company completed the acquisition of the DSM Protective Materials business for a
total purchase price of approximately $1.4 billion, net of cash received.
