PTFE-Free LubriOne™ Internally Lubricated Formulations: additional grades that extend Avient’s LubriOne™ Formulations portfolio and are made without fluorinated lubricants such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), which may be classifiable as a per-and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS).

The new formulations also have a lower density than materials lubricated with PTFE fluoropolymer.    

To aid in release, the cavity or core may be coated with a release coating such as PTFE impregnated nickel after it has been given a sand blast or EDM finish.

We continue to develop other non-PFAS functional additives and solutions to aid in hydrophobicity, moisture repellency, and replacement of CoF PTFE.
