They can be used alone or in conjunction with other materials such as thermoplastics, wood, and metal, and manufactured with techniques such as overmolding, coextrusion, and thermal lamination to incorporate CFRTP tapes and laminates into hybrid, multi-material structures.
The adhesive properties of thermoplastics enable the construction of sandwich panels and reinforcement of materials such as wood and metal through thermal lamination without requiring additional adhesives.

No matter
which process you choose—assembling panels
from aluminum, steel or wood; hand lay-up
with composites; or producing panels using
the vacuum assisted resin transfer molding
(VARTM) process—throughput remains low
while costs are high.
Our composite panels are custom engineered
by varying core thicknesses to increase or
decrease stiffness; by varying core materials
(including end-grain balsa, foam or engineered
woods) to increase or decrease weight; by
varying fiber to modify the stiffness-to-weight
ratio; and by varying the base polymer to
increase or decrease strength

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Ballistic resistant panels can be field-fabricated using simple installation methods and common carpentry
tools.
ThermoBallistic
panels should be cut using a wood cutting
blade with +/-45 degree teeth.
Secure the panels to steel or wood framing
by mechanically fastening with heavy-duty
wallboard or lag screws.

GridCore™ Composite Utility Poles from Avient are engineered to enhance grid resilience as an excellent alternative to wood, steel, or concrete electrical poles and structures.
The extended lifecycle can result in overall cost savings compared to wood poles, which require replacement every 30-40 years due to aging, damage, or failure.
Lightweight = Safe, Simple Installation: Significantly lighter comparable to wood and concrete poles, GridCore poles can be installed using light-duty equipment and without expensive cranes.
