INTRODUCTION
Objective
This document provides guidelines for part design, mold design and processing
of styrenic block copolymer (SBC) thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs).
Anisotropy
Thermoplastic materials that have different properties in the flow direction versus
the cross-flow direction (90º perpendicular to the flow direction) are
characterized as “anisotropic” materials.
GLS TPEs have lower viscosity (higher flow) than traditional
thermoplastics and will leak back easier than other materials.

Gravi-Tech™ polymer-metal composites are high-density materials developed as thermoplastic-based
alternatives to lead and other traditional metals.

design flexibility and processing ease of conventional thermoplastics.
