Automotive Windshields to Post-Consumer Recycled Content TPEs
These injection moldable TPEs can be overmolded to polypropylene (PP) and come in a natural grade that can be easily colored.
These new TPEs contain 25 percent post-consumer recycled (PCR) content from PVB reclaimed from broken automotive windshields and laminated architectural glass.

PolyOne Develops New Silicone-Alternative TPE for Medical Tubing
These constraints are fostering higher prices, longer lead times, and increased interest in silicone alternatives such as thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) tubing solutions.
In response, PolyOne formulated Versaflex™ HC BT218 TPE for biopharmaceutical tubing applications.

PolyOne Launches Specialty Automotive TPEs and Design Services in Europe
This includes the launch of OnFlex™ LO thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs), featuring reduced levels of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) for vehicle interiors, and the availability of its IQ Design Labs service in Europe.
PolyOne also introduced OnFlex LO specialty TPEs, which help automotive OEMs improve the driver experience by reducing the number of VOCs in vehicle interiors by up to 50 percent.

The adhesion is categorized based on
adhesive failure (A)- if no TPE residue is left on the substrate, or cohesive failure
(C)- if the failure is in TPE.
Design Considerations
The material requirements of bondable TPE’s are different from conventional
TPE’s and it is the same for designing parts.
Prevent the TPE from flashing over areas on the substrate.

These popular industry colors have a flexible cure profile of 266 ⁰F to 320 ⁰F (130⁰C to 160⁰C), compared to the typical 320⁰F curing temperature of most standard inks.
In addition to Wilflex Epic Rio RFU Standard Colors’ wide-range curing profile, these inks can also print with excellent opacity, wet-on-wet printing capabilities, great stretch, and an optimal soft hand.
