Avient acquired the Clariant Color business on July 1, 2020 (the “Acquisition Date”). To provide comparable financial results, the Company references “pro forma” financial metrics, which include the business results of Clariant Color for periods prior to the Acquisition Date. It’s in this spirit that we joined legacy PolyOne and the Clariant Color business, two complementary businesses, and formed a new one that we’ve named Avient.
