SHANGHAI, China – June 27, 2023 – Today, Avient Corporation is expanding its reSound™ BIO bio-based and reSound™ REC recycled content Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) portfolios with the launch of a new range of halogen-free flame-retardant (HFFR) grades containing recycled and bio-based resin.

The new grade, Gravi-Tech REC GT5200-5089 C I natural, is based on up to 60% Social Plastic® polymer resin material from Plastic Bank, a social enterprise that collects and recycles ocean-bound plastic waste.

Smartbatch™ Frost Collection, when added to PET resins, can replace spray-on or painted frost effects to provide a soft, cool and icy look with texture for slip-resistance.
