CLEVELAND – October 31, 2018 – At MD&M Minneapolis today, PolyOne Corporation announced that Trilliant™ HC material outperforms FR PC/ABS after exposure to harsh disinfectants, according to tensile strength stress tests performed by an independent A2LA-accredited lab.
Testing results show that Trilliant HC 2020 retains higher tensile strength than common FR PC/ABS materials after seven-day exposure to typical disinfectants.
Developed as a drop-in replacement for FR PC/ABS, this innovative Trilliant HC formulation was recently used successfully by a medical device OEM seeking to improve resistance to cracking and brittleness for its housings.

Performance Products & Solutions (PP&S) achieved
a new record for return on sales at 7.2 percent and further reduced
its working capital as a percent of sales to 4.3 percent.
This strength was most notably
evidenced by our hiring last year of Brad Richardson as CFO and
Michael Garratt as president of PP&S.
PolyOne’s stock performance has significantly outpaced the S&P 500 index and the S&P Mid Cap 400 Chemicals index.

A leading North American manufacturer of polypropylene (PP) hose for medical applications, including laser surgery, respiratory care and sleep apnea equipment, faced a challenge with its existing thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV).
The Avient team assessed the application’s technical and operational requirements, and recommended a GLS™ Versalloy™ alloy in 45 Shore A durometer, an FDA-compliant medical TPV grade designed for overmolding onto PP.
