These solutions helped one of our customers satisfy high Vehicle Interior Air Quality (VIAQ) standards without compromising desired surface finish, gloss level, mechanical property or density. Maxxam™ helped the customer reduce the VOCs and fogging in their newly launched models by up to 80%, without compromising desired mechanical property or surface finish. Onflex™ Lo TPE helped the same customer replace traditional PU foaming materials for HVAC sealing components, which greatly improved the VOC levels to meet local vehicle interior air quality standards.

Avient worked with a progressive customer who designed floating solar panels that float on large bodies of water, and require very demanding weather resistance in harsh environments. Smartbatch™ Color and Additive Concentrates offered unparalleled UV weathering protection color concentrates for our customer’s solar power stations. Smartbatch™ enhanced the customer’s power generation efficiency by 10%, while providing shielding to prevent algae growth.

Avient developed new recycled-content materials to enable its customers to achieve their goals and add options for the circular economy. By using recycled content, the customer made significant strides toward the circular economy, conserved materials and reduced energy usage by over 65%. Additionally, for every one ton of plastic recycled, the customer saves planet Earth the equivalent of 1,000–2,000 gallons of gasoline.*
