At the scientific level, rubber and silicone are both thermoset
materials, meaning once the material is molded it is “set” and cannot
be broken down to be molded again.
This means a large volume of product (anywhere from tens of
thousands to over a million units) can be created by heating the TPE blend and
injecting it into a mold, where the TPEs cool and form the desired shape.
Thermoplastic itself means “the ability to
be reprocessed by heat.”

We prioritize stakeholder engagement and discussion related to
implementation of our human rights policy, particularly as it pertains to employee and environmental
safety.
Regular engagement with these key stakeholders builds positive
community relations, sets the expectation for open dialogue related to the effectiveness of our policy
implementation, and assists with preparedness and collaboration in the event of an issue in our
operations in that community.
We value opportunities to engage with these
stakeholders and welcome their feedback and input related to our activities and their interests.

• High thermal conductivity
• Very good flow rate for thin walls
• Chemical resistance to glycol
• Good aging for both chemical & temperature resistance
• Improved thermal performance by eliminating the
effects of corrosion
• Reduced overall part weight
• Provided greater design freedom meaning a more
complex part could be designed and molded
• Enabled several heat exchangers to be consolidated
into one, saving space in the vehicle and increasing
efficiency

Water-related projects are carried out each year and typically are related to efficiency,
consumption reduction, and risk reduction.
These efforts not only are a
means for continuous improvement and better decision-making, but also improve transparency, help increase stakeholder trust and improve access to capital.
Each year,
all of our sites are required to complete either a landfill-related project or water-related project to help reduce consumption and increase efficiency.

Biopolymers may be manufactured from
renewable materials such as corn and sugar cane
and can be biodegradable, meaning they degrade
under biological—mainly microbial —conditions.
Other biopolymers are also biodegradable and
compostable, which means they will degrade
under controlled conditions, such as those
occurring at composting or anaerobic digestion
sites.
