These materials feature improved chemical resistance to trusted hospital-grade disinfectants over other flame-resistant (FR) polymers such as PC/ABS, PC/PET, and copolyester.
Trilliant™ HC8910 and HC8920 healthcare grades were developed in response to today’s intense disinfecting protocols.
The HC8920 grades are formulated to meet certification to UL94 5VA at 3.0 mm, V-0 at 1.5 mm, V-1 at 0.75 mm.

– February 3, 2020 – At Medical Design and Manufacturing (MD&M) West next week, PolyOne will launch its newest medical grade, Versaflex™ HC BT218, formulated in response to supply challenges stemming from silicone shortages and sterilization facility closures.
Delivering on critical application demands, the new grade offers weldability, kink resistance, and tensile strength performance comparable to leading medical tubing materials, including silicone and TPEs.

Additionally, the new grades are formaldehyde-free, addressing VOC concerns in manufacturing compared to POM.
The reinforced grades are targeted at applications in the industrial, electronics and transportation markets like pipes and tubing, electrical battery components, and under-the-hood fuel or chemical contact components.
The LubriOne PKE series are internally lubricated grades that combine chemical resistance performance with improved wear resistance and low coefficient of friction properties.

The new 4020G grade offers up to 50 percent lower haze and reduced impact on the PET recycle stream compared to previous grades, while maintaining the same reliable active oxygen scavenging performance.
PolyOne testing shows that ColorMatrix Amosorb 4020G is one of the most robust oxygen scavengers for PET rigid containers, with negligible effects on efficacy for the rPET grades tested, while other competitive materials lost almost all oxygen scavenging ability with rPET content as low as 20 percent.
