Avient to Showcase Innovative Polymer Solutions for the Wire and Cable Industry at Wire Düsseldorf 2024

DÜSSELDORF, Germany – 8 de abril de 2024 – Avient Corporation, a premier provider of specialized and sustainable materials solutions and services, will showcase its range of specialty solutions for wire and cable applications next week at Wire Düsseldorf, the world's leading trade fair for the wire and cable industry, held from April 15-19.  

Avient will highlight its broad portfolio of colorants, functional additives, engineered polymers, fibers and yarns, and high-temperature colorants and formulations developed specifically for the wire and cable industry. Experts will be available to provide in-depth guidance and support on addressing critical challenges, such as improving cable performance, optimizing processing and manufacturing, meeting regulatory requirements, extending cable lifetime, and driving greater sustainability.  

Avient’s recent launch of its TÜV Rheinland-Certified Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) Calculator is just one example of its commitment to sustainability. This cutting-edge tool can help customers evaluate the carbon footprint of Avient’s specialized and sustainable material solutions, understand the environmental impact of end products, and navigate the complex landscape of reducing carbon emissions.

Engineered Polymers:

• ECCOH™ Low Smoke, Fume, Non-Halogen Formulations (LSFOH) are excellent for jacketing and insulation in various cable types, including energy, optical fiber, and communication cables
• Syncure™ XLPE Cross-linkable Polyethylene Formulations and ECCOH™ XL Cross-Linkable Solutions, both of which can enhance traditional LSOFH materials to provide additional requirements such as oil resistance, chemical resistance, and improved mechanical performance or service temperature of the cables
